Here's the May inventory comparison. The blue cylinder shows the amount of single family homes available in May of 2012. The red line shows the current inventory as of today, May 8, 2013.  Altadena made up the most ground for the month followed by La Canada.  For those of you who are buyers, consider making that first offer the very best you can. Competition continues to be fierce. In many cases homes are selling for over their asking prices, with multiple offers.
