END OF MAY Pasadena Area Housing Analysis
Here's the end of May inventory comparison. The blue cylinder shows the amount of single family homes available in May of 2012. The red line shows the current inventory as of today, May 28, 2013. Although we are seeing a slight uptick in available inventory, those new homes are selling so quickly that the net effect is minimal. Altadena made up the most ground for the month followed by La Canada. For those of you who are buyers, consider making that first offer the very best you can. Competition continues to be fierce. In many cases homes are selling for over their asking prices, with multiple offers. For a market analysis for your property or more information, give us a call at 877.886.5729. We'd love to hear from agents around the country so that we can learn more about local market conditions.

Fifth Annual “RED Day” Set to Lend a Hand in Pasadena, CA
Keller Williams Pasadena Market Center, part of community service initiative across the globe. Pasadena, CA 4/30/13— Keller Williams associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 9, 2013, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with the Pasadena Market Center have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.
As part of the RED Day effort, Pasadena Market Center has chosen to spend the day with Villa Esperanza Services, providing love, care and hope for individuals with disabilities and their families since 1961. KW Pasadena will be painting, planting flowers and sprucing up the Villa Esperanza facilities. While the painting and sprucing is going on, we will also be entertaining the families and patrons of Villa Esperanza with live entertainment and arts and crafts activities.
“This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone,” said Team Leader Shel Downing “Last year, we worked with Door of Hope, an amazing non-profit organization that manages two transitional housing locations. We painted and spruced up three apartment units, had a great Bar-B-Q, and had a professional cartoonist entertain the kids. We can’t tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally − it felt so great to give back to the community we know and love.”
Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given almost a half million hours of community service through activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens at nursing homes and rebuilding homes and schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
