Villa San Pasqual, standing the test of time. This complex has stood proudly in Pasadena for almost 60 years. Lionel V. Mayell (1897-1978) is attributed to have been the first developer of cooperatively owned apartments on the west coast. Mayell's first co-op apartment building was built in Long Beach in 1922.
